The artist
Shane Johnson is an established artist in Ireland with a career spanning from the mid 1990s.
His original paintings are available in galleries in Dublin and Cork, Ireland.
The prints
Often known as “giclee” prints, they have been made with the best quality paper, inks and printing equipment.
Each artwork has been translated into a fine art print, exacting the original to the highest degree.
All prints are of museum standard, guaranteeing archival quality.
Limited edition
All prints by Shane Johnson are limited to editions of either 100, 50 or 25.
Each print is titled, numbered and signed by the artist, and once the edition of prints has sold out,
there will be no more reproductions of that image (apart from any publicity purposes with the artist’s permission).
Shipping
Prints are sent either rolled in a sturdy carboard tube, or flat, depending on size and destination.
Express Post, with a tracking number, is the usual method of shipping.
Shipping time
See each individual print for details. Some are in stock, in which case your order will be shipped within 24 hours.
Others have to be printed to order, in which case it shouldn’t take more than about a week.
Follow up after ordering
Orders are always acknowledged with an email, and shipping date advised.
You will also be informed when your order has been dispatched.
Customs and Duties
European Union, Norway, Iceland - none
UK - art imports from the EU are levied at 5% , payable by the recipient. Your package will be sent with a declaration of contents and value.
USA - In spite of recent changes, fine art prints remain exempt from duties. Your package will be sent with a declaration of contents, meaning delays at US Customs should be unlikely.
Canada - although fine art prints are duty free, there are other taxes amounting to between 5 and 15% depending on the State.
What to do with print after receipt
Do try to avoid removing your print from the cardboard tube, as re-rolling can damage the paper.
Take it straight to a framer and ask that acide-free material be used to ensure its longevity.
Complaints
In the unlikely event your print gets damaged in transit, please send a photograph
and you will be issued with a replacement free of charge.
